CAV Angels in collaboration with Startup Virginia invites you to a Fundamentals of Angel Investing course on February 26th, 2019 from 2pm-6pm at the 1717 Innovation Center. CAV Angels is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization housing the only angel group specifically catered towards UVA alumni and friends. We work to provide education on investment in private, early stage companies, and we are excited to team up with Startup Virginia on this event.
Fundamentals of Angel Investing
The Fundamentals of Angel Investing course is offered by the Angel Capital Association, the largest angel professional development organization in the world. This program is a half-day workshop taught by a certified Angel Capital Association instructor that covers the following topics:

- Angel investing as an asset class
- Anticipated returns
- Portfolio strategy
- Valuation of early-stage companies
- Conducting due diligence
- Understanding term sheets
- Angel involvement in portfolio companies after the investment
This will be a great introduction to angel investing for those new to the scene and a valuable refresher for experienced investors. You will also have an opportunity to meet fellow members of the Richmond investing and entrepreneurial spaces. We hope you can join us!
